I visited with my boyfriend and we LOVED everything from the ambiance to the sides. I miss the late night tacos I’d have when Im not at Purdue but these hit my tastebuds well. I think the portions sizes were just perfect and we enjoyed everything we ordered!

We frequently dine at El Meson at least once a week. Jonathan and staff have outstanding service. Food is delicious. Kids love the queso and chips, definitely recommend. Margaritas are good, I prefer the frozen margarita. We usually choose between the Fajita Taco Salad, a burrito or the quesadilla mazaltan...hopefully I spelled that right. Pictured below is the Quesadilla Mazaltan, rice and pico salad with avocado and sour cream...DELICIOUS!!!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Lafayette! Bring your friends and family here for birthdays or whenever for great service and delicious food. I love the Choripollo and always have seconds for the next day!! Tried the Tlayuda (on the menu as an appetizer), and it was really good. Friendly staff as always!

Great experience like always. Very high quality ingredients. You can tell they really care about the service they give you here. Everything is great on the menu, but there is some major to the grilled shrimp, they are awesome in everything.

This was my first time at El Mason. It was a wonderful experience, My server, David, was a very kind thoughtful server. Me and a couple of buddies came in at around 9 P.M. and there were a couple of sketchy gangsters who walked in. They pulled out knives and demanded the cash, David refused. Him and John simultaneously ran at them without an ounce of fear. They used eachother as a catapult to draw closer to the bandits. As they flung toward the thieves, David shot a brutal two finger jab right into one of their stomachs. He dropped to the floor without a look of conciseness in his body. John then does a front flip over David’s back, and side swept the other two whilst standing on his hands. As the robbers were quivering with fear lying on the ground, David was given the option to do one of two things...one...finish him for good...or two...let them go. David, the warrior he is, let the mindless robbers go, showing how he has changed from his past self. John agreed with him, and invited the robbers to share a meal, of gratitude and forgiveness. The robbers gratefully accepted. This just shows how El Mason can change a man’s life

Been going here for 10 years. Hands down best Mexican in Lafayette :) The arroz con pollo is AMAZING. Specials are great. Delicious stuff all around.
